New single "Neighborhood" - Out Now

“Neighborhood renders the angst, the pit in your stomach you feel when you walk around your city during a downturn. I wrote it after reading Mark Fisher’s Capitalist Realism.” Victorino explains.

The song personifies capitalism as a “living organism” that captures and distorts our lives, even our imaginations. It also generally speaks to the advance of gentrification, and a musician’s perspective on the increasing un-livability of Seattle.

The cover art was taken at Ape Caves by Ted Howard and is a visual followup to her first EP Sheer Force of Will.

Biography

Liv Victorino asserts that her quiet, tender songwriting shines brightest against eye-watering distortion and intensity. Following Elliott Smith, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Death Cab for Cutie, Victorino’s band zealously renders her unforgettable melodies while staunchly defending a rock band philosophy. Her set is laden with improvisational forms that deliver a new take on shoegaze, grunge, and baroque-pop.

Once a folk and singer-songwriter project, Victorino reintroduced herself as an alternative rock writer in 2023 with a brand new band. Her packed performance schedule in 2024 has earned an “up next” status in Seattle. After cutting their teeth extensively in the club circuit, the group bubbled up to the top play Seattle's Bumbershoot in 2025, Idaho’s Treefort Fest, Portland’s Pickathon, Capitol Hill Block Party, and Belltown Bloom.

Recent forays for Liv include the "Five" EP released in December 2025. The Bandcamp-exclusive EP features five songs that were finished, arranged, recorded, and released in under 35 days.

Victorino's debut album is currently in production featuring Jason McGerr from Death Cab for Cutie on drums and additional production, producer and engineer Jordan Cunningham, and Dylan Seawright of Great Grandpa.
